Work closely with faculty hosts to develop comprehensive interview and tour schedules that align with the candidates' preferences and the center's objectives.Collaborate with faculty hosts to fulfill any additional requests to enhance the candidates' visit experience, such as coordinating gift baskets and organizing special events.Provide personalized assistance to candidates by making restaurant reservations and arranging local tours to showcase the center's amenities and the surrounding area.Serve as the initial contact for assigned faculty candidates scheduled for virtual and on-campus interviews, ensuring their needs and inquiries are promptly addressed.The coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned candidates, overseeing all logistical, travel, and communication aspects of the recruitment process. The Faculty Recruitment Coordinator at Massey plays a pivotal role in facilitating the successful recruitment of faculty candidates through seamless coordination of their virtual and/or on-campus interview/visits, ensuring a positive and engaging experience.
Working with cancer center leadership and search firms, the Coordinator will assist in the scheduling of virtual and on-site visits, prepare briefs and informational packages, organize search committee meetings, and ensure inclusive and unbiased search processes in order to fill current and future positions. This role will assist the Director of Faculty Recruitment with the development and execution of comprehensive, innovative recruitment strategies to attract diverse high-quality candidates both passive and active, for a wide range of positions, with the initial and primary focus on scientific and senior level faculty searches. The Faculty Recruitment Coordinator reports to the Director for Faculty recruitment and supports VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center (Massey) Recruitment Team and its portfolio of faculty searches.
